FA13842 is a current mode type control IC that can be used to configure high-performance switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, and other devices. Since it is a CMOS type, it consumes less power, and allows downsizing and power saving of the startup circuit and other components, thus making it ideal for configuring high-efficiency, power-saving power supplies. Its output can directly drive a MOSFET, enabling the configuration of space-saving and cost-effective power supplies.
Features
- CMOS type with low power consumption
- Standby current 2 μA or less, startup current 30 μA or less
- Latching PWM control with cycle-by-cycle current limiting
- Built-in -5 V reference voltage output (±5% accuracy)
- Low voltage lockout with hysteresis characteristics
- Maximum duty cycle of 96%
- Built-in low-voltage malfunction prevention circuit (16.5V ON / 9V OFF)
- Pin-compatible with other companies’ 3842 products
- (Please note that although the pins are compatible, the characteristics are not fully compatible. Circuits consisting of other companies’ ICs may have different characteristics, so please check the power supply set when using this IC.)
Applications
- Switching Power Supplies
