Power Factor Correction ICs

FA1A11N

  • Status:Available

The FA1A11N is a control IC for configuring a critical-mode power factor correction converter. It achieves low power consumption by using a high-voltage CMOS process. It also has a frequency reduction function and output short circuit protection circuit.

Features

  • Capable of low standby power by disabling input voltage detection
  • High-precision current detection: 0.6 V ± 2%
  • Improves efficiency under light loads using a frequency reduction function
  • Improves power factor correction by reducing dead angles when the input voltage waveform has a low phase angle
  • Reduces noise using an overshoot reduction function and dynamic OVP circuit
  • Achieves low power consumption by using a high-voltage CMOS
    1. Startup of 500 μA (type), 1.5 mA (typ) during operation
  • Capable of directly driving power MOSFET, output peak current: source 1 A/sink 1 A
  • Stops circuit operation even when an abnormality occurs in the output voltage detection unit using an FB short-circuit detection circuit
  • Built-in low voltage malfunction prevention circuit (12.4 V ON/8.8 V OFF)
  • Restart timer
  • Package: SOP-8
