Status:Available
The FA1A60N is a control IC for configuring a critical-mode power factor correction converter. It achieves low power consumption by using a high-voltage CMOS process. It also has a frequency reduction function, redundant overvoltage protection function, and FB short circuit protection function. In addition, it has a built-in state setting function using an external signal, and when combined with our current resonance IC FA6B20N, it improves power supply efficiency and optimizes operation in accordance with input voltage.
Features
- Capable of switching between burst operation and normal operation by an external signal (in conjunction with FA6B20N) to improve power supply efficiency under light loads
- Optimizes operation in accordance with input voltage and improves input current distortion over a wide input range by operating in conjunction with the FA6B20N
- Capable of low standby power by disabling input voltage detection
- High-precision current detection: 0.6 V ± 2%
- Improves efficiency under light loads using a frequency reduction function
- Reduces noise using an overshoot reduction function and dynamic OVP circuit
- Achieves low power consumption by using a high-voltage CMOS process
- Startup of 250 μA (typ), 0.8 mA (typ) during operation
- Capable of directly driving power MOSFET, output peak current: source 0.5 A/sink 1 A
- Prevents overvoltage and protects the output electrolytic capacitor using a redundant overvoltage protection circuit, even when an abnormality occurs in the output voltage detection line.
- Stops circuit operation when the output voltage detection unit detects an abnormality using an FB short-circuit detection circuit
- Built-in low voltage malfunction prevention circuit (12.5 V ON/7.5 V OFF)
- Built-in restart timer
- Package: SOP-8
